In 2005 the company started its 4th
formulation plant in Jammu. It is a state of the art
plant having facilities for EC, WP and granules. It has
also set up formulation facilities for S.C.Formulation.
It is the first such plant in Northern India. It
is also planning to start WDG formulation
shortly. |

In March 2005, the Group took
over AKOLA Chemicals (India) Limited. from RALLIS India
Limited. part of Tata Group. It has a factory in AKOLA
Maharashtra for formulation of liquids and wetable
powders. It has the largest Amino Acid plant in the
country and is marketing its product under 'Aminos'
Brand name. |
Since its inception, Krishi Rasayan was
involved in doing job work formulation for many multinational
7 Indian companies viz. ICI, Alkalies & Chemicals
Corporation of India, Burma Shell, NOCIL, Rallis India Ltd.
& Chambal Fertilizers.
Apart from job work, Krishi
Rasayan was deeply involved in involved in supplies to various
State Govt. on rate contract basis till 1988.
Krishi
Rasayan came into direct marketing/retailing from 1990 with
the following three new molecules, which were then marketed by
one or two multinationals.

b. Metalaxyl 35%WS
c. Metalaxyl 8% +
Mancozeb 64%
Krishi Rasayan has got a good market share
for all the above three products on an all India
Basis.
The Company has

It is the new construction arm of the group
and is actively pursuing construction activities in the
Eastern fringes of the city of Kolkata,West Bengal.
Since
1978, it is major carrier of raw material for Collieries,
various semi-Government Bodies and Steel and Sponge Iron
Plant.
The Company owns a fleet of Tippers and pay
loader and carriers 1.5 Million Tonnes of material annually.
As a natural addition, the company is running a Tyre
Retrading Unit at Ramgarh, Jharkhand, capable of retreading
upto Haul Pack tyres under license from Oliver Tyres, U.S.A.
The Company operates a Poultry feed unit in Muzaffarpur, Bihar
with a capacity of 150 M.T. per day in Pellet form. It is
planning to set up a similar plant near Chandigarh.
With its
international connections and nationwide presence, the Group
has diversified 2 years ago, in Chemical Trading. Its current
focus is in business promotion of chemicals used in Tannery
and Glass Industry.
The Krish Biotech Research Private Ltd. (KBTR) is developing an state-of-art Contract Laboratory at Kalyani (West Bengal) to provide quality research and testing facility for safety assessment of pesticides, herbicides, environmental chemicals and residue studies for the growing need of the industry in India & abroad.
It is envisaged that the proposed Laboratory will conform to internationally accepted Quality Assurance system with Registration & Accreditation of GLP standards as prescribed by OECD and other International Regulatory authorities
